10 - Prosperity begins with
Recognising the True Riches in Life!

1 Chronicles 9:
26 For in this trusted office were four chief gatekeepers; they were Levites.
And they had charge over the chambers and treasuries of the house of God.
27 And they lodged all around the house of God because they had the responsibility, and they were in charge of opening it every morning.
NKJV

The Lord Jesus said this in Luke 16:
11 And if you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth,
who will trust you with the true riches of heaven? (LB)

In the account from the book of Chronicles, we have an example of faithful men, the gatekeepers, who had charge over the treasuries of the house of God. We see in these gatekeepers, that they were serious about their responsibilities. They arranged their living accommodations in such a way that it was easy for them to open the house of God every morning.

You may ask what that has to do with you and your money!
There are several lessons for us in the lives of these men:

First, they were Levites. Levites were servants of God.
These Levites took their serving of God seriously.

The Lord has called us to be His servants and to be serious about His business.
Have you ever considered pledging yourself and your life to be a servant of the Lord?
And if you have done this, have you kept your pledge and been faithful to the Lord?

If we are interested in True Riches, we need to be faithful servants of God in every area of our lives.
We need to arrange our lives around God's priorities, and put His business first.

Prayer:
Father, I want to be like these Levites. I want to be a servant of Yours, and I want to arrange my life around Your principles and priorities.
Please help me to honour You with my lifestyle,
in Jesus' name,
Amen.
